Emergency food is available once every two months to individuals and families who find themselves in a crisis situation.

In between visits, access is available to the fresh item shelves which often include produce and bakery products.

 No appointment necessary.

On the first visit, you will be asked to show photo ID for everyone in the household,

as well as proof of income and expenses.

Community Garden & Container Gardening

A seasonal community garden run by Community & Family Services helps to supply the food pantry with fresh produce

Emergency Disaster Services

The Community & Family Services has an Emergency Disaster Service Team of over 24 volunteer church members who are trained in

emergency response, the use of the Community Response Unit (CRU) or "soup van"), and food preparation.

They are ready to respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The EDS Team works in partnership with the Guelph Fire Department by supporting the fire fighters and victims with refreshments.

The Salvation Army is a member of the 'Emergency Operations Control Group' that serves the City of Guelph and Wellington County in the

event of a crisis or disaster.  Our responsibility is for serving refreshments and light meals on location and at evacuation sites.

We also assist the Guelph Police Services and the University of Guelph with emergency situations.

We also work in partnership with the Red Cross and Victim Services.
