Join us select Saturdays for fun activities that will challenge, inspire and keep your kids busy through the summer. From Robotics to Art to Sports to Cooking it’s all here.

All activities are free of charge except for a small participant fee for Cooking on Saturday. Please read through the offerings and note that some activities require registration.

Some activities are geared towards preschool to grade 8 but all ages are welcome.

This is not a drop off program and general supervision is not provided.

 
 

CREATURE FEATURE DAY & FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT

Join us for a wild day of bugs, and amazing creatures! Explore a variety of creature-themed activities including:

There will be plenty of opportunities to learn about the fascinating creatures that share our world while having fun with friends and family.

Creative Fest & Family Movie Night

Saturday, July 25

Drop-In | 1:00-4:00pm

Family Movie Night | 7:00-9:00pm | The Lego Movie

Unleash your imagination at Creative Fest! Join us for an afternoon dedicated to creativity, storytelling, art, and invention. Whether you love drawing, building, writing, coding, or creating, there will be something for everyone.

  •  Art Studio with Tarika- Explore painting, drawing, and creative art projects. 

  • Aspiring Authors Workshop with Lisa Browning from One Thousand Trees o   Do you have a story to tell? Spend the afternoon creating your very own book or graphic novel! Dream up characters, design illustrations, and bring your ideas to life with guidance from author Lisa Browning.  Every participant will leave with a completed book (or the making of one) to take home and will have the special opportunity to place a copy in the Loft Library's "The Story Makers Shelf" , allowing others to discover and enjoy their story.

RACE INTO ADVENTURE & Family Movie Night

Saturday, AUGUST 8

Start your engines and join us for a day of racing, building, movement, and fun! 

  • RC Car Race Track: Take a turn racing remote-control cars and see who can master the course.                                            

  • LEGO Race Lab- Build your own LEGO race car and test it on our raceway.

  •  Mario Kart Tournament - Compete against friends and family for racing bragging rights.

  •  Get Creative with Josee- Explore a variety of art materials and create your own unique masterpiece.

  • Maybe cooking with Winnie

Enjoy free play and movement-based games throughout the afternoon.

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTIONS

CREATIVE ARTS & CRAFTS

Children, youth, and families can explore various art mediums in a relaxed and supportive environment. It’s a place to express yourself, build community, and enjoy the process of making art together.

Open Gym

A fun, active space where kids, youth, and families can enjoy free play and physical activity in a safe and welcoming environment. It’s a great opportunity to build friendships, stay active, and connect through movement and play. Basketball, badminton, floor hockey, and more.


Lego Building CHALLENGES

Experience a creative, hands-on program where kids and families can build, explore, and imagine together using LEGO bricks and fun challenges. It encourages problem-solving, collaboration, and joyful play in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

LEGO Robotics Mindstorms Workshops

Dive into the exciting world of coding, robotics, and hands-on engineering! Using LEGO Mindstorms kits, participants will take on fun challenges, program their own robots, and create imaginative builds that come to life. These interactive sessions are perfect for curious minds eager to learn new tech skills while having a blast. Parents are welcome to join in the experience and build alongside their kids, making it a great opportunity for family learning and teamwork.


Minecraft - bASICS

Jump into the world of Minecraft with our Beginners Minecraft Workshop — perfect for kids who are just getting started! Learn basic gameplay skills through fun, hands-on help and creative building challenges. Participants will learn, explore, and build their confidence one block at a time. No experience needed — just a sense of adventure!

Minecraft - ADVANCED

Level up your Minecraft skills in our Advanced Minecraft Challenge Program — designed for players age 8 and up who are ready for more! Experience exciting new challenges, mini games, and creative competitions that put your building, strategy, and teamwork to the test. Have a ton of fun with fellow Minecraft fans! Bring your creativity, your game face, and get ready for an awesome adventure.


COOKING CLASS

COST: $10

Cooking classes offer a hands-on culinary adventure exploring dishes from around the world—including Mexico, India, and China—where participants prepare and enjoy delicious meals together. Classes are open to ages 7 and up (younger children welcome with a parent), and are limited to 6 participants per session.
