With a free library membership, families can discover endless opportunities for fun, growth, and connection.

We can’t wait to welcome you to The Loft!

Book Library

The Loft Children’s Library is a fun place to visit for all kinds of books! You can borrow books geared toward kids aged 0 through grade 8. Your free library card makes it easy to borrow books and return them to the library after three weeks.

Toy Lending Library

In collaboration with a pediatric occupational therapist at Hand Print Kids, we offer a free toy lending library to support families who need toys to promote their child’s development. Designed to help with your child’s therapeutic gross motor, fine motor, social, emotional and cognitive development, we also provide tips to promote family fun time. Toys can be borrowed for a two-week period, and toy selection is rotated on a 7-week cycle.

Family Drop-In

Join us for fun activities that will challenge, inspire and keep your kids busy. From Robotics to Art and Sports to Cooking, it’s all here.

Visit our Family Drop-In page here and read through the offerings.

NOTE: Some activities require registration.

Summer Chess Club

Join us for a fun and friendly hour of chess each Thursday throughout July and August! Chess Club is a social opportunity for children and youth ages 6+ who already know the basic rules and moves of chess. This is not a formal chess class or instructional program. Instead, participants will enjoy friendly games, practice their skills, meet other players, and have fun together in a welcoming environment.

When: Thursdays, 3:00–4:00 PM (July & August)
Ages: 6+
Please Note: Participants should already be familiar with the basic moves and rules of chess.

TINY TIME TOGETHER

Designed especially for babies, toddlers, and their grown-ups, Tiny Time Together offers a rotating series of playful, age-appropriate activities that help little ones learn, grow, and connect through movement, music, stories, and exploration. Each week offers something new — Tumble Time (Week 1) encourages active fun with mats, trikes, and safe gym play; Baby Song (Week 2) sparks joy through singing, rhymes, and interactive play; and Little Explorers (Week 3) opens up a world of sensory discovery in a hands-on environment, Cozy Corner Stories (Week 4) invites families to snuggle up for story time with delightful picture books. Tiny Time Together is the perfect place to play, bond, and belong.

Thursdays from 2-3pm. (No program on fifth Thursdays.)
