At Guelph Citadel we believe that everyone should be connected to caring, biblical community and one of the best places for this type of community is within small groups - or Life Groups. Our Life Groups meet in a variety of places, discuss a variety of topics, and include a variety of people.

DISCIPLESHIP BANDS
A discipleship band is a group of three to five people who read together, pray together, and meet together to become the love of God for one another and the world. A discipleship band is not a traditional small group. It is not another Bible study group. It is not a classic accountability group. The primary curriculum is the lives of its participants, joined together in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit.

SHORT STORIES by Jesus
Women’s Life Group | Tuesdays | 10:00am | Lounge Library
STARTS SEPTEMBER 15
Join us as we explore a fresh, timely reinterpretation of Jesus’ parables. In Short Stories by Jesus, we’ll go back in time to understand how their original Jewish audience understood them. This study reveals the parables’ connections to first-century economic and agricultural life, social customs and morality, Jewish scriptures and Roman culture. With this revitalized understanding, we’ll interpret these moving stories for the contemporary reader, showing how the parables are not just about Jesus, but are also about us—and when read rightly, still challenge and provoke us two thousand years later.

The Book of Daniel
Adult Bible Study | Thursdays | 6:45pm | Lounge Library
STARTS SEPTEMBER 10
Where is God when the world seems to be falling apart?
Who am I in a broken and confused world?
And who is really in control?
The Book of Daniel speaks powerfully into these questions. Join us as we journey through Daniel together, exploring what it means to remain faithful to God when the world around us feels uncertain and confusing. Through familiar stories, challenging visions, and honest conversation, we’ll discover the hope that comes from knowing that God is present, God is faithful, and God is ultimately in control.

Resilient - A study in 2 Timothy
Adult Bible Study | Sundays | 7:00pm | Mark & Robyn’s Home
STARTS SEPTEMBER 20
Jim Dalrymple (New Testament and Church Leadership professor at Ozark Christian College) looks at Paul’s final word to Timothy. His goal is to help Timothy, and us, understand how to be resilient in our faith. Paul’s words to Timothy can encourage us to properly approach suffering with our eyes on Jesus and continue the work that God has called us to.

A Life WORTH LIVING
Young Adult Study | Tuesdays | 6:30pm
Scientists may be able to prolong life, but does that make it worth living? Without purpose or joy, extended life seems a hollow victory. So how do we live life to the fullest? Nicky Gumbel’s A Life Worth Living, based on St Paul’s letter to the Philippians, is a practical and positive guide to finding a new confidence in the way we live our lives.
