Women’s ministry

In the tangles of an intensely busy, fragmented society, we want to connect with you.  We are praying that God will unfold ways we can serve to bring women closer to each other and to Christ.  Our desire is to support each other, encourage new relationships and to grow in faith and spiritual knowledge.

 

The Purpose Statement of our Women’s Ministry is:

To encourage women in all seasons of life to connect with each other and develop their relationship with God as passionate followers of Christ through:

  • Spiritual growth – to connect women to Christ and to each other through teaching and leading in God’s Word.

  • Fellowship opportunities and activities for women

  • Encouragement – initiate mentoring relationships

  • Service to our church and the community

  • Caring hearts – prayer and support to meet needs of women in our church and community

Mark your calendars! Women’s Adventure Camp 2026 is happening September 18–20, 2026 - a special weekend of connection, encouragement, adventure, and spiritual renewal.

We are especially thrilled to have Cheryl Nembhard as our guest speaker- a friend and ministry partner of The Salvation Army, and a powerhouse communicator who brings the Word of God to life with passion, depth, and authenticity.

Event Details

  • Date: September 18-20, 2026
    (Check-in begins Friday at 5:00 PM | Departure on Sunday at 1:00 PM)

  • Location: Newport Adventure Camp, Huntsville

  • Cost: $210 for the full weekend (Other options available @ $175)

  • Special Guest Speaker: Cheryl Nembhard

  • Featured Creative Activity: Tote Bag Painting with Cathy Gibson

Registration

Registration will open the week of June 15 and will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • NEW: Registration for women's events is now managed through a new CampBrain portal under the Corps Mission Department. Accounts created in the previous portal cannot be transferred. If you have already created an account in the new portal this year, you may use those existing login credentials. Otherwise, you will need to create a new account. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

  • To create a new account, simply register using your email address and a password containing at least 10 characters.

Mother-Daughter Discount

We are pleased to offer a special 50% discount for daughters (ages 16–30) attending with their mother.

  •  To receive the discount code, please email Yianjoo.Low@salvationarmy.ca and include your Ministry Unit, along with the names of the mother and daughter(s) being registered.
