Women’s ministry

In the tangles of an intensely busy, fragmented society, we want to connect with you.  We are praying that God will unfold ways we can serve to bring women closer to each other and to Christ.  Our desire is to support each other, encourage new relationships and to grow in faith and spiritual knowledge.

 

The Purpose Statement of our Women’s Ministry is:

To encourage women in all seasons of life to connect with each other and develop their relationship with God as passionate followers of Christ through:

  • Spiritual growth – to connect women to Christ and to each other through teaching and leading in God’s Word.

  • Fellowship opportunities and activities for women

  • Encouragement – initiate mentoring relationships

  • Service to our church and the community

  • Caring hearts – prayer and support to meet needs of women in our church and community

WOMEN’S ADVENTURE CAMP

Registration is now open for Women's Adventure Camp, taking place September 19-21, 2025 at Newport Adventure Camp.

Event Details

  • Date: September 19–21, 2025
    (Registration begins Friday at 5:00 PM | Departure on Sunday at 1:00 PM)

  • Location: Newport Adventure Camp, Huntsville

  • Cost: $210 for the full weekend (other options available @ $175)

  • Special Guest Speaker: Lieut. Miya Bradburn (see attached bio)

Why Come?

In his book “Sacred Pathways” Gary Thomas writes:

"Where we worship can have a profound impact on the quality of our worship... leave the formal architecture and the padded pews to enter an entirely new 'cathedral', a place that God himself has built: the outdoors... getting outside can literally flood parched hearts and soften the hardest soul." (p. 44)

Newport Adventure Camp offers an opportunity for our parched souls to meet with God and with each other in a new, refreshing way—through kayaking, canoeing, walking, or biking the trails, gathering at the beach, or simply enjoying the crackle of a campfire. As we spend time in worship and in God’s word, our hearts will be refreshed and renewed.

For those who enjoy hands-on creativity, Cathy Gibson of Cottage Cathy’s Home Décor and Crafts will lead a crafting workshop on Saturday afternoon.

  • Existing users can log in; new users will need to create an account with a unique email and 10-character password.

  • A confirmation receipt will be emailed automatically upon confirmation of registration.
